A customer in the boating industry commissioned Janssen Engineering Group to engineer a product that would generate a range of frequencies. This product was intended to eliminate the growth of algae and barnacle on the bottom of the boat. We designed and engineered the product, utilizing injection molding and circuit board manufacturing equipment to produce the approved design. The part was created with polycarbonate and fiberglass for PCB, and exhibited a gloss-polycarbonate finish.
Overall dimensions of the unit were 6” x 4” x 4”, with the highest tolerances of ±.002” held throughout manufacturing. The part was exhaustively tested with in-house testing by the machine supply industry. This project was completed within a 90 to 120 day turnaround time, with over 5,000 parts produced and sent to the customer in Florida.
